Freezer Plate is a type of freezer that uses horizontal plates to hold and house the materials to be frozen. Freezer plates are primarily used for pre-packed products that need to be frozen such as ice cream and vegetables. The product is placed between the open stacks of plates and when the tier is full the plates are closed and the freezing process begins. Freezer plate operations can be either batch or continuous for high throughputs. The refrigerants are circulated inside of the plates to facilitate the freezing of the products.
