Learn more about Meat Processing Equipment
Meat Grinders – Meat grinders are used to grind meat and bone as well as frozen blocks of meat. A typical meat grinder has a coarse grinding area and a fine grinding area. The machine is powered by a motor that drives the rotating teeth against the fixed teeth. There is a small gap where the material being processed passes through. This produces a product that is crushed and reduced to the desired size for further processing into the final product.
Meat Emulsifiers – Meat emulsifiers are used to bind chopped meat, fat, water, and other ingredients into a product capable of further processing. Meat emulsifiers are used in products such as bologna, frankfurters, and sausages.
Meat Breaders – Because hand breading is very labor intensive, mechanical breaders decrease production time, increase speed, reduce waste, and improve consistency and quality. These machines are suitable for high volume production by utilizing a conveyor to feed product through a batter tank and then a breader. Another method is a drum roll type machine like a cement mixer. This process allows the breading and wet product to rotate, adhering the breading to the product.
Meat Stuffers – Sometimes called sausage stuffers can be either vertical or horizontal. The vertical version is gravity fed and are most commonly used. The horizontal stuffers require a piston to force the product int the casing.
Chub Machine – A chub machine forms, fills, seals, and clips uniform weights of various products into a tubular package formed of plastic film. Chub packaging offers many advantages including extended shelf life, lower material costs and attractive shelf presentation.
Linker Machine – A linker uses a vacuum to push meat into a casing. This machine allows you to create products that are precise in size and weight.
